The Surprise Wedding - Mr & Mrs Evans
When Carol & Matt got in touch with me to book me as their wedding photographer I was all ears naturally, but when she said it was a secret and that it was to be a surprise on the day I was like woah, this is brilliant I loved the idea of this how amazing, I have got to say this is how I would love to get married, just to see the shock on peoples faces, yay!! The only difference is I don’t know what excuse I could use to bring both sets of family and friends together, whereas Carol and Matt had the perfect reason….
A naming ceremony, well hell yeah!!
Meet A and B, Aaron and Brody, now one years old; the most delightful gorgeous twin boys; of course, the perfect reason!! Who would suspect?
After months on countdown, the day arrived, and I felt so honoured to be a part of this wonderful family’s big day, with their other two sons George and Charlie the sun shined, and this happy couple become one!
I must admit I did get rather emotional during the ceremony; there was so much love in the room you could taste it, the happiness clearly visible on their faces. It was a beautiful ceremony for them both and of course for A and B. George and Charlie both stood up in front of all the guests and made speeches, you couldn’t help but admire them for being so brave and reading so eloquently.
We even got to sneak off for some bride and groom shots up Powys Castle Park; the perfect place in Welshpool for some creative shots with amazing back drops, even with the high sun mid-afternoon we got some truly gorgeous shots.
Everything about the day was beautiful, I mean just check out that cake!! Can you believe this was handmade by the bride the day before!! Doesn’t it look amazing? I can tell you it tasted pretty awesome too, what a super bride…
So, was the wedding a surprise on the day to the guests? It seemed so, capturing the shock and delight on so many faces was pretty cool, some did have their suspicions and had dressed 'as a just in case'…
Mr and Mrs Evans, you were both amazing, thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer.
Love you guys & all the best for your future together ~ T xx
