Featured on Rock my Wedding!
Oh my goodness, where do I start. When Rachel & Nick got in touch with me to ask me to photograph their wedding, I was over the moon, this was a couple that knew exactly what they wanted and they were doing it no matter what, so much style and elegance I was bursting to meet them. A date was set for their pre-wedding shoot in Chester. How cool, I imagined shooting through the window of a quaint coffee shop while they looked lovingly at each other, the ideas were flowing....as it happened our original planned meet couldn't go ahead and so only 2 days before their wedding day, I met with them at their venue here in beautiful Mid-Wales at the exquisite Garthmyl Hall, literally a 5 minute drive for me.
Meeting them for the first time blew me away, what a beautiful couple and so exciting to work with! And, as it turned out they had just tied the knot up in Manchester in a quiet registry office ceremony before travelling down to Mid-Wales for their celebrant ceremony to take place in a couple of days. The photos of their pre-wed shoot took place around the beautiful gardens of Garthmyl Hall with some on location in the old market town of Montgomery, Mid Wales. Who needs coffee shops!!
The 21st of August 2019, Rachel & Nick's celebrant day had arrived & what a glorious celebration it was too, with the ceremony held outdoors in the walled garden; the weather was perfect. Nick walked down the aisle to one of his favourite songs, with his mum & groomsmen all dancing down the aisle behind him. A touching ceremony conducted by Celebrant Joanne Jones was filled with so much warmth, love, readings & songs. For the reception, Mr & Mrs Wright were announced in epic style making their entrance together singing Keith Sweat's "make it last"; the guests had no idea of this!
This was a wedding full of punch & immaculate planning with all of the decorations including all the flowers arranged by Rachel & her mum. It was clear a lot of hard work had gone into it all and it looked timeless, elegant and very chic. The speeches were all memorable, particularly the grooms; this was one of the best speech's I have ever heard, risqué, heartfelt & hilarious.
To Rachel & Nick who are now proud parents! Congratulations both x
