A September Wedding ~ Mr & Mrs Leaver & a Pug named Doug!
Amy and Karl what an amazing day you both had, full of so much love for one another, there were tears brought to the eyes of many, including myself! Amy what a beautiful woman you are, you looked absolutely exquisite.
And what about Doug the Pug, he was a fricking star; the ring bearer for the ceremony and so cute when you were both taking your vows he gave a little squeak of approval.
Engaged in Budapest at the opulent New York Café, what better place I mean have you tasted the cake there… AMAZING!! And married at the quant St. Mary’s Church in Knockin, Shropshire followed by a beautiful marquee reception at their home in Llandrinio, Powys. Amy was given away by her brother Alex, I shall never forget the tender moment between you both when Alex came into the bedroom and saw you ready to leave for the Church. So emoshl!
The reception was held at the bride's family home, so pretty with so much attention to detail, the bride being a huge Emma Bridgwater fan (I mean who isn't) had every table decorated with Emma B complimenting the wonderful flowers supplied by Val Wright Flowers of Welshpool to the fairy lights dotted about the garden, there was even a sweetie shed and later on an outdoor fireplace for roasting marshmallows!
I must mention the groom Karl, who point blank refused to have any portrait shots, I admit I did feel gutted that they wouldn’t have any to look back or to share with their children in years to come, I decided to leave him be despite the fact that for 2 years since asking me to photograph their wedding I knew exactly where I wanted to grab some shots of them both, a narrow road bridge that crosses the River Severn and I had planned to stop there on the way to the reception venue. Once I had him kidnapped in the back of my car he agreed to do some, only joking I didn't kidnap him but I had to use my influencing skills a little and considering it was raining quite heavy he agreed, oh boy what joy!! After that there was no stopping him, in fact he turned out to be quite the poser!!
You guys are the best and I wish you so much happiness in your lives together and thank you for choosing me to photograph your wonderful day!
Much Love T x
