A Beautiful Autumnal Fun Wedding at Highgate, Bettws in Mid-Wales

It was such a pleasure documenting Isobel and Andrew's Highgate Wedding originally planned for April 2020, lockdown number one prevented that happening. The less said about that, the better. They were not alone in having to re-arrange their plans, all of my weddings for 2020 were re-scheduled and in the end only one wedding took place in 2020 and that was Isobel & Andrew's, so a Spring wedding became an Autumn wedding. A much scaled down wedding celebration, from their tipi festival vibe feel to an indoor seated 'Intimate Wedding ' and so the term ‘intimate’ and ‘micro’ weddings was termed.
I admit I was slightly apprehensive of what I would shoot thinking less guests would mean less to shoot; in fact their wedding felt no different had there been 100 + guests! I LOVE these micro weddings! It was an incredible happy sunny day, the autumn colours were out, leaves were starting to fall and their ceremony took place under the pretty pagoda in the gardens of Highgate, followed by an informal reception in the Barn House with their closest friends and family.
Highgate is a flexible wedding venue, perfect for small or large weddings, with accommodation, you can choose indoor venue or the huge outdoor space can accommodate a tipi or two and the real plus; it is surrounded by Mid-Wales’ finest countryside and rolling hills, picture perfect for a smooch away from the melee for some awesome portraits.
The couple's babies Macey & Miley made the perfect pooch bridesmaids, check out their little outfits! So adorable, don't you agree?
And, so an intimate wedding than originally planned yet in no way was it less epic, love really does conquer all!
